Before anything else, open your Ledger package and check the contents. Every Ledger hardware wallet comes with:

Ensure the box has not been tampered with. Ledger will never pre-configure your device or ask for your 24-word recovery phrase.

Only download Ledger Live from the official website. This ensures you're using the legitimate version free from malware or phishing attempts.

3. Set Up Your Ledger Device

Connect your Ledger device to your computer or mobile phone. On your device’s screen, you’ll see setup instructions. Follow these carefully to:

  • Choose a secure PIN code
  • Generate your 24-word recovery phrase
  • Confirm your recovery phrase

⚠️ Important: Write down your recovery phrase on the recovery sheet provided. This is the ONLY way to recover access to your crypto if your device is lost or damaged. Never share it, store it digitally, or take a picture of it.

4. Install Apps and Add Crypto Accounts
